What do Cupcakes, Babies, and Mimosa's have in common???

It's a riddle...go ahead, guess?

Well, we just wrapped an exciting Girl's weekend in Seattle where I was chastised by Kaci for a really lame blog...or the lack of blogging, rather. So, I figured that the girl's weekend warranted a write up.

The main draw for another annual Girl's weekend in Seattle was Erin's baby shower (getting warmer on the riddle) which we had this past Sunday at the Avriett's home up near Capitol Hill. Erin looked amazing in all her pregger glory...and I say that sincerely! She looks beautiful. We totally binged on cranberry and blueberry scones (courtesy of Kaci), decadent hot cocoa and got loopy on Mimosas....yummm. Overall, we had an indulgent time and Erin really scored on the presents.

Babies...check

Mimosas...check

Cupcakes...

On Saturday, we meandered over to Ballard on Claire's recommendation, and while the shopping left much to be desired (sorry Claire), the cupcakes at Cupcake Royale were ahhhhmazing! Need I say more?

Ok, now I remember why it's been so long since I blogged...I'm tired from loading pics and writing stuff... Well, the cupcakes, babies and mimosas made for a very fullfilling girl's weekend and left us looking forward to next year's annual Girl's Trip! (Which may also be the next time you all get a blog...so don't bother checking back too often!)

Where's my medication???

Erin has insisted that I get a blog so that it is more convienent for her to look at the pictures that I send her online....so here I am. I'm not sure who is going to read this or what I will write, but I will say that today.....

I took Lola to Whole Foods b/c I had to meet a friend for lunch, go grocery shopping and do some errands on the way home. I had Lola with me and it was far to cold to leave her in the car. She's not accustomed to the harsh elements, so I took her in, in my mammoth purse. Everything went smoothly, until I got to the checkout counter and the lady took me aside discreetly and said, "I'm sorry, but we will not be able to allow your dog in here in the future." So I did what anyone would do and said sheepishly, "Well, she's an emotional support dog."

I have to admit, it was a little embarrassing to say that she was an emotional support dog....especially since it's not true....yet. I'm still looking for a shrink to give me that prescription.

Anyway, she looked very sorry that she had brought up such a sore subject and pretended to be very familiar with whatever anxiety disease that I must have and said, "Of course, we have another woman who brings her labradoodle in, I understand. Have a very nice day!" (Big comforting smile on her face.)

All that to say, I'm not sure who's sensibilities are more fragile, Lola's or mine....but we both need legit prescriptions. Does anyone know a good shrink?
